Tour of the historical monastery village of Nottuln.

Tour of the village centre in and around the St. Martinus church with the surrounding curiea buildings of the noble nuns from 1749.

Nottuln was a cloister under the Bishop of Münster up until the secularisation (1803-1809) .
Did you know that a lady who was accepted into the cloister had to prove that she had 13 generations of noble blood.
This and other interesting things can be discovered on this tour.

Day Tours

Visit the monastery village of Nottuln with it’s historical centre in the heart of the so called ‘Baumberge’ and experience old handcrafts for the first time.

This is how your day could look:

10.00 Arrive with tour bus and welcome

A hearty breakfast at our inn ‚Kentrup Bläu’

History of the oldest Indigo printer in NRW with a demonstration of the craft. duration 45 min., Price per group 15,00 € (English on request)

Followed by a guided tour of the historical centre of Nottuln (per group 30,00€)

The guide will accompany you on a two hour tour through the scenic and varied landscape of the hills of the Baumberg region to the most beautiful places built of sandstone (per group 50,00 €)

Approx.. 3pm /3.30pm Afternoon tea

Münsterland’s traditional afternoon tea or more appropriate afternoon coffee in the monastery inn ‚Kentrup Bläu’.

The cosy atmosphere and our westphalian cuisine make a perfect ending for the day long tour.
